‘영화’라는 매개체를 통해 이주노동자의 인권과 문화를 이야기하기 위해 지난 2006년 시작 된 이주노동자영화제는 올해 제3회를 맞이하게 되었습니다. First launched in 2006 to present a forum for migrant workersthrough the medium of film, the Migrant Worker Film Festival is now in its third year.
2008년 8월부터 9월까지 전국 5개 지역에서 순회 상영으로 개최될 예정입니다.
보다 좋은 이주 관련 작품을 발굴하기 위한 공모를 하오니, 관심 있는 분들의 많은 참여 바랍니다. From August to September of this year, the film festival will tour to five different locations all across Korea. This call for submissions is issued with the hope of unearthing as many quality films as possible and we would appreciate your support and participation.
* 공모 대상 Eligible Works :
- 이주노동자, 이주여성, 이주민 관련해서 인권문제 및 사회․문화의 다양성을 주제로 한 작품
Works addressing diverse topics related to migrant workers, women migrants, and immigrants from a variety of human rights, societal, and cultural perspectives
- 작품 분량 제한 없음
No limits on length of work
- 국적, 성별, 직업 등 관계없이 누구나 (특히, 이주민의 많은 참여 바랍니다)
Open to all regardless of nationality, gender or profession (we especially hope that many migrants will submit films)
- 작품 장르 제한 없음
Open to all genres
* 시상내역 Prizes :
이 영화제는 비경쟁 영화제로 별도의 수상 내역은 없습니다.
단, 이주민이 직접 제작한 작품의 경우 관객투표를 통해 관객상을 수여할 예정입니다.
As this festival is non-competitive, there is no separate prize. However, for films produced by migrants, we expect to give an Audience Award based on votes from festival goers.
* 일정 Calendar:
- 공모 기간: 2008년 5월 26일 ~ 6월 23일까지
Submission period: May 26, 2008 – June 23, 2008
- 심사 기간: 2008년 6월 26일 ~ 7월 1일까지
Evaluation period: June 26, 2008 – July 1, 2008.
- 공모 선정 발표: 2008년 7월 4일
Announcement of accepted entries: July 4, 2008.
(공모 작품 선정 발표는 영화제 홈페이지(www.mwff.or.kr)를 통해서 확인하실 수 있습니다. 공모 당선자는 개별 연락드립니다.)

* 접수 방법 How to Enter :
- mwtv 홈페이지(혹은 영화제 홈페이지)에서 공모 신청서를 다운받아 작성 후, 우편발송(직접 방문, 택배 가능)합니다. After downloading the application form from the MWTV or the film festival websites, mail the completed form along with the submission. (In person delivery or other delivery service is acceptable)
- 우편 소인이 6월 23일까지는 접수 가능합니다.
All submissions must be postmarked by June 23, 2008.
- 접수 물품 Submission materials :
• 공모 신청서 (www.mwtv.kr 혹은 mwff.or.kr에서 다운받아 작성)

• 작품 (DV테이프, VHS테이프, DVD, CD 가능합니다.- 단, 작품이 선정 되면
이후에 영화제에 상영할 수 있는 DV테이프로 제출합니다.)
Entry (DV tape, VHS, DVD, CD all accepted. If the submission is accepted, a DV tape must be submitted for the actual screening at the film festival.)

As submissions will not be returned, we ask that you send a copy.
(단, 직접 사무국으로 방문한 경우는 반환이 가능합니다.)
